A BLOGGER’S PRAYER AND VISION! MAY, 2012

My greatest prayer has been to pray with and for the world!   The problem has been a question of time, energy and finding the perfect approach.  It’s a fine art and others have joined in to help!  In 2007, I decided to get on the Internet.  At first, it went extremely well, but ultimately, we couldn’t keep up.  Large ministries have the technology and  manpower and we are very happy about that.  For all of the hard work that they do; they deserve it!

Cafe Sozo began five years ago.  There was no budget.  There was only one plan.  That plan was to spread the Gospel.  The web designer who quit on us…said we’d be “lucky” to get 30,000 hits in 3 years.  Our site reached one million and began to decline.  What we’ve found is that we need to invest more in our sites in order to grab market share, draw steady traffic, minister, give feedback and to stay current.  We have seen people come and go and we have never quit.

Now, we find ourselves at an impasse…fighting stagnancy or making a choice to embrace growth!   WE HAVE DECIDED TO EMBRACE GROWTH TO FULFILL OUR VISION.

We need your support!

Please know that there must be a spiritual Christian presence on the Internet.  Certainly the Love of God, the mercy, the Wisdom, the grace and the peace is present. However, the dark side of things, the evil side of things, the deceptive, and confusing is also present as well as distractions.  So, though there aren’t many studies to give one statistics on the numbers of Faith Bloggers who have quit, changed their course or been distracted or disrupted through no fault of their own; I have seen it!  There are no statistics to tell you how many abandoned blogs there are on the Internet…thousands.

So we have persevered and now

It’s been over 6 years, since we opened up this website!   A lot has happened and a lot has changed.  We took the words of Jesus quite seriously…

Since we had no resources, we took to the Internet.  There is a long story that I have about a well meaning web designer who bowed out at the last minute.  Then, the Holy Spirit literally led me to a Blog and of course, the rest is proof of what God can do.  Not any of us.

Our original plan was to put up a website so that we could spread the Gospel and to raise funds to aid Christian writers (whom we have seen greatly struggle to fund their own books.)  The truth be told I would love to see MORE successful writers begin to fund the less fortunate.  On this journey, we discovered ministers, evangelists, ministries, prophets, teachers, intercessors;  with many struggling to fulfill their hearts desire to go into all of the world to preach, teach and baptize in the Nam of Jesus.

We still believe in that mission, but we have discovered on this journey a greater mission.  That mission is in meeting the needs of the readers who visit this site.  That is a fact.  People write for prayers, but we haven’t the staffing to answer them all.  The sites are not technically updated.  For ewexample we have not been able to upload mp3′s on all of our sites because it is not free.  In fact, the appearance of the site we would like to change, but the cost is TIMES EIGHT because we have 8 sites and we are working on doing that.  We would like to put the sites under an easier domain name and roll all eight sites into one; but right now we are working this out…slowly.

We ask for your support prayerfully, financially and by coming by to give us feedback.  We reached a pinnacle of over two million readership; which is tapering off because we have not offered the technological tweaks that fules activity at the sites.

So, in the grand  plan…we see ourselves moving towards increasing our readership and meeting all of our objectives.  We plan to add a PAY PAL Donation button and to begin a fundraising campaign for site maintenance and expansion.

We’ve just noticed that we are growing faster than our projections!   It’s amazing and we want to meet that demand.   Prayer MUST go forth!!!

A MOTHER’S DAY PRAYER! by E. Davenport May 13, 2012

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that in all of Your glory and splendor You created the role  of a Mother.  What an Honor.  For we know that the role is physical, as well as spiritual, relational , emotional and in many other forms.  Our collective prayer is that You will continue to cover and strengthen those whom You’ve assigned these roles.  We pray for the many children that Mothers protect, cover and care for and we pray that it is always under Your watch.  Our prayer is that every child on the face of the earth will come to know the massive, increasing enduring and magnificent experience of Your unfailing love and the relation between that and faith and we thank You for it…for Christ;s sake…Amen.

 

Never Forget The Power Of Prayer! by Elaine Davenport April 30, 2012

I grew up thinking that I would only “bother” God with the really important things.  In my backwardness, I suppose I was making myself a hero by handling the small stull.  Laugh out loud to that one…please!

 

Actually it worked for a long time.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t winning though.  Somehow, I got wind of a new way of thinking when I became born again.

 

WHAT???   Do you mean that I could have had a better life  with a little more wisdom?

 

Why yes…most certainly.

 

Let’s fast forward to the importance of letting God know about every matter when you need help.  Well, the other day it was critical that I master a copy machine.   Help was no where in sight.  As tears welled up in my eyes…I remembered to say a prayer.  I asked the Holy Spirit to show me what to do.  I was desperate.

By no coincidence He showed me.  I mastered the machine….and anything else.

 

But, I know it’s not my strength or smarts….I know.

Godly People Pray! February, 2012

For this [forgiveness] let everyone who is godly pray–pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely when the great waters [of trial] overflow, they shall not reach [the spirit in] him. Psalm 32: 6

 

 

 

2012 Prophecy…A Harvest Year! January 1, 2012

I took a survey and found out that there were many prophecies from various churches for 2012!   However, they had a common thread…God wants the best for His people and it’s time.

But, unlike the free chicken fiasco held by a popular franchise last year  (in my opinion); God’s got a very clear set of rules.  The rules are simple…those that look to him and operate in the things of God will flow in the Blessings…those that do not won’t.

So what needs to be done by the people who just aren’t clear?   I’d start with a Praise life…with a Worship life…with a Thanksgiving life…with a prayer life.  It will not happen over night, but over time you will be a pro and right where you want to be.  I believe this year, if you will make quiet time for God…He will accelerate things for you in amazing ways…He is amazing!

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.  Jeremiah 29:13

And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”  Luke 10:  27

In Jesus’ name I pray that You may give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know You better.

I pray also that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which You have called Me, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and Your incomparably great power for us who believe.

 That power is like the working of Your mighty strength, with which You exerted in Christ when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 

Also, for this reason I come before You Father, from whom Your whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name; That out of Your glorious riches You would strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith.

And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of You, Lord.

Father, You are able to do immeasurably more than any and all us believers could ever ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us who believe, Father, let there be glory to You in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”

Not Simple…My Christmas Prayer! by E. Davenport December 25, 2011

Last night I learned a big big lesson.  Some things which had been overlooked came to a head.  When the dust settled; I was angry.   I wasn’t angry at God…or any person.  I was angry at myself and the devil.  Because I had glossed over things and not dealing truly with the problems, in fact, they had not gone away.

I was too disgusted to pray!   I had never been that way.  If only I could praise I would feel better, but the truth is…I did not think of that!

I decided to write out a Prayer Of Petition.  You see, a while ago I had ordered Jerry Savelle‘s Book The Prayer Of Petition and I had even read it, but it “looked” like too much work.

It was time for me to put this matter on the altar and write out a brief and present it to God.  I decided to do this BEFORE I prayed!  I had a lot on my heart.  It took two and a half hours!  Oh my goodness!   But, when I finished…I had a solid foundation and a renewed confidence that God would solve everything!  I was no longer angry.

My final petition printed out was 9 pages long!  In the end…there was a lot of Thanksgiving!   When I prayed…God assured me that Everything Was Going To Be Allright!   That was the prophecy that our Bishop Keith A. Butler and the  Prophet of God, Kenneth Copeland…both whom I adore greatly and I have not said that enough!
