Watchman’s Prayer! By Elaine Davenport March, 2014

Dear Heavenly Father,  please equip, enable, release, guide, and help the Watchmen around the world to do our jobs to get the prayers out and the words out in our efforts to prepare the people (including us) who are about to be judged.  Father, please open all of our eyes, speak to our hears, show us Your mercy and your grace.  We come against the spirit of deception, untruths,  denial, confusion and contention.  We bind those who think they know the truth that only seek harm.  We bind the spirit of Anti-Christ and false gods.  We loose the spirit of peace, love, patience and wisdom.  We crush the spirit of offense.  It is our prayer that Your Word becomes the light in the darkness and that it’s so much sharper than any two edge sword piercing the soul.  We trust You to back us as we go out into the vineyards to release Your Word and we believe we will be backed by Your power and not our own and that is why we will succeed in Jesus Name.

EZEKIEL 33: 6 (WARNING TO ALL WATCHMEN) (This explains the sense of urgency to warn people of the coming judgement)

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.

James 5: 16     

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV

Pray without ceasing,

Philippians 4:6 ESV

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Consistent Prayer is one of the things that many of us do not know enough about.  It actually works.  Prayer is a seed and the more that we pray afer we plant it…just know that the seed is still being nurtured and cared for.  So even if you see nothing happening after you have prayed…do not lose hope.  God hears our prayers.

You’ve Got The Flashlight: No Battery Though By Gene McGuire November, 2013

 “….Faith worketh by love.” (Galatians 5:6)

COMMENT: As I have mentioned previously, my goal in life was to imitate the only professional person who lived in our Detroit ghetto. His name was Ernie Cooper, the pharmacist who worked in the drug store across the street from us. In order to prepare for that course of study in college, I had to take a lot of chemistry courses in high school.*** I don’t remember the formulas and chemical reactions we were forced to memorize, but I do remember a particular interesting principle. Some chemical reactions are so slow that it is necessary to add another chemical to speed up the process. This ingredient is called a catalyst. Spiritually speaking, love is the “catalyst” that makes our faith work. We should not be surprised because love has a higher ranking than faith and hope. (1 Cor. 13:13) In that same chapter we are told “. . . . .and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love [God’s love in me], I am nothing [a useless nobody]. (1 Cor. 13:2 Amp. Bible) In 1 Cor. 16:14 we are commanded to “Let all that you do be done in love.” And if by chance you need more convincing, 1 John 4:16 states that “God is Love.” Now if your faith seems to be somewhat impaired, you might want to check out your love walk.

POST SCRIPT: ***I flunked out of Pharmacy at Wayne State University; that profession just wasn’t my calling. I then switched to  the teaching vocation.

Prayer Without Thanksgiving ! by E. Davenport October, 2013

 

If you read the book of Phillipians, you will see why PRAYER MUST ACCOMPANY THANKSGIVING….The answer is right there in the bible….if we pray WITH thanksgiving…we will have peace.  Does it make sense?   It doesn’t have to if God says it. That’s all I needed to hear.    So when someone comes to you for prayr; explain it to them. It will make a huge difference.

 

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Philippians 4: 6

And the peace of God, vwhich surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.And uthe peace of God, vwhich surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4: 7

Can’t Pray Enough! by Elaine Davenport September 30, 2013

In my prayer life, I targeted one person more than any other.  I have done this for years, that person is reaping a mighty harvest continually.  I know that every prayer for that person will be answered promptly. In fact, I have come to expect it.    What is the formula?  It’s simple:  30 minutes  a day from the heart.  That is the formula.  I have stepped iy up. That was just a starter formula.

 

FILL IN THE NAME BELOW…

• Colossians 1:9-12
Father I am asking that __________ will be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You. May __________be strengthened with all power, according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You, because You have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
