Paid In Full

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box.

Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man’s name embossed in gold. Angry, he rose his voice to his father and said “with all your money, you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father’s house, a sudden feeling of sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father’s important papers and saw the still gift-wrapped Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt.7:11, “And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give to those who ask Him?”

As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. carkeys.jpgIt had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because we can’t see past our own desires?

Be strengthened today and be encouraged! Please View this Site’s Number One Video: THE POWER OF PRAYER

DON’T FIGHT PRAYING FOR SOMEBODY ELSE! I’M WARNING YOU OF OBSTACLES THAT WILL GET IN YOUR WAY; EVEN DISTRACTIONS. MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO DO IT AND JUST SIT BACK AND WATCH THE INTERRUPTIONS…

This little article may prove itself to be very controversial; but the truth must be told!

READ THIS

I’ll discuss the controversy in a later paragraph, but first let me give you the facts.

SIDEBAR…

I went to church today and it was wonderful! I got more ammunition against the enemy. I love it! I had to go by to see a friend afterwards for a short visit. It’s a new friendship so I don’t know them really well. As we talked, my friend began to discuss a few health challenges. This wasn’t the first time that she had done this. I felt badly because the words that my friend were saying were not faith based words. At that time, I distinctly heard the Holy Spirit say: “Pray with her.” I didn’t say anything at the time, I just sat there trying to wait for the right time. As the subject changed; I felt as though I might have missed an opportunity. Soon, I was preparing to go and my friend was walking me to the door. On my way out, I turned and said: Let’s say a prayer together.”

YOU MUST BE WONDERING WHAT MY FRIEND’S REPLY WAS?

“I’m so glad, I need it!” was their response. We began to pray. During that prayer we pleaded the Blood of Jesus over her body and we spoke directly to the main health challenge that she had and told it to cease!

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 24th – SEPTEMBER 30, 2007

Precious Father, we stand before Your throne this day. First and foremost we give You thanks for this glorious day. As we look upon the heavens and all of Your creation we are in awe of You. We are thankful indeed for the gift of life eternal life and that we are redeemed from poverty, sickness and spiritual death. We are thankful for Your instruction manual that You have given to us; the bible. Today, we pray that all men will move closer to you and gain wisdom on the truth of Your word. It is our prayer that they will realize that Your word is alive.

Thank You Father, that you don’t care about our background and the things that we’ve done because You love us unconditionally. Thank You Father that healing, love joy, wisdom, salvation, favor, peace and mercy are Yours to give freely give to all that ask of You. Teach us to patiently wait for You to fix the broken pieces in our lives just being confident that You will do and always do what Your word says that You will do.

Help us to be compassionate and caring towards our fellow man. Give us insights this day as You order our steps. Strengthen us in the weak areas of our lives. Areas like: temptation, carelessness, integrity, offense, sensitivity, apathy and any other area that is not pleasing to You. We bind the spirits of: wickedness, confusion, revenge and spitefulness in our lives. We loose spirits of: calmness and peace, confidence and joy, compassion and love, and all that is good.

We release our angels to go before us to protect us from any hurt, harm or danger.
Enable us this day to speak Your word in all that we do; thus incorporating it as a full part of our lives. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.

Trusting in God (Thursday, July 19, 2007)

Prayer For Trusting in God

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to bring you our Prayer petitions. We are concerned and challenged LORD but in the midst of it all, You were on our mind. The concerns that we speaks about are: (you fill in) _______________, ___________________, and ________________________.
Father, your Word says that we will be far from oppression and we should not fear terror for it shall not come near us. (Isa 54:14) You said that we would be established in righteousness. You said that if they gather together against us that they would surely fall. You said that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and that ANY tongue that rises against us; we would condemn. (Isa 55: 10-12)

You said for 10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. 12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Father, you have not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and a sound mind. Father, your Word says trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding so we put

our trust in you and will not go by what we can reason in our head but instead we will walk by faith and not by sight knowing that You will lead us beside the restful waters all the while refreshing our minds and emotions regarding these matters that confront and challenge us today.

We thank you Father for your love, your wisdom, Your guidance, Your peace, and we look to you for comfort because we love You and trust You. Your Word is a light unto our path and a lamp unto our feet. You said: Do not let your heart be troubled, (John 14: 26, You said my presence shall go with thee and I will give thee rest. You said I will compass thee about with favor as a shield, you said I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight, I will break in pieces the brazen doors, and cut asunder the bars of iron. Thank you Father that we have great cause to rejoice in your Word and to delight herself/himself in You. In Jesus Name we ask and pray. AMEN.

A Prayer for our children by Elaine Davenport (Saturday, June 30, 2007)

Dear Heavenly Father, we praise you and we Bless you today. Thank you for this day and the love and the revelation that we have. Father we thank you for gifting us with our children. We commit their lives to you. We stand in faith that their faith will grow and grow and that one day they will become bold laborers for your kingdom. Father, we declare that they will commit their ways unto you, and in doing so their thoughts will be established. Father we pray that your word will become exciting and intriguing to them. That they will know right from wrong. We pray that they will have the ability to discern any work or word that is not of you or that does not edify you. Father we pray that as they exercise their independence in the ways of the world, that they will realize that this is not what they want to do. We pray that they will know in their hearts what is your will for them. We covenant with you in advance and we thank you for this. In the name of Jesus. Amen
