1John 5:14-15
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

I have a friend that has a God Box. I had never heard of such before, but she explained to me what it was. When she has a prayer, she writes it down on a piece of paper. whispers what she needs or wants and puts it inside a box in her closet which she calls her God Box.

For her, that works and she says that’s all that matter for now.

PLEASE KNOW THIS

It’s not to my charge to tell anyone if what they are doing is the correct thing or not. Even if I think that it isn’t, I won’t say so. If pressed I might say: “Well, that’s not for me. But, I do try to stay away from the negative. I do stay close to reality.

The reality of life is in the Word of God for me. It wasn’t always that way. I was pretty sure that God heard my prayers, but I still deferred to ministers, to prayer warriors etc. I had felt that they more likely would hear from God sooner.

Then I learned something new. I learned that I did not need an intermediary to pray to God for me. I learned that God wanted a close personal relationship with me. I learned that as a prayer warrior and a woman of faith, that I could make the call and not be put on hold.

Imagine that you’re the head of your household; you call home and you say” “Hey this is Mom (or Dad) ! You are always met with respect and joy and immediately they give you their undivided attention. If you say: Take some fish out of the freezer, they say: “Okay, no problem.” It’s a good feeling! It really is though most of us never give it much thought.

You know it’s the same thing (the ease of conversation) when we approach the throne of our Heavenly Father with reverential fear; the conversation is always easy when we come in faith.

And the verse at the top of the page literally says we can have confidence that if we know that He hears us; we know that we have the petitions that we desire of Him. That’s very reassuring.
