One day in church is not enough! by Elaine Davenport (Thursday, November 15, 2007)
Revelation 12:9 – The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
I heard a saying that said: “Two things in life are guaranteed; death and taxes!” You probably have too. I’m going to add a third and there are more. Here’s the third: http://bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/Bible.show/sVerseID/30474/eVerseID/30474
However, that’s not exactly the reason for my writing. A lot of believers go to church and yet believe that Satan is some fictional character. Then there are others who think that he is a defeated foe like the bible says and even after a little fortification on Sunday; think themselves prepared. Some people scream at and laugh at the devil in a crowd, but when isolated and he says: “Boo!”…they don’t laugh. The question is Why?
The answer is simple: Read the Word, get it in your heart, get it coming out of your mouth, meditate in it day and night.
