Emergency Prayer by Elaine Davenport ( Saturday, November 10, 2007)

“Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW AND DO WHEN YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY PRAYER?

God knows you and the way that your heart is long before you ever seek His face. He loves you unconditionally. You have to remember this.

I once had an emergency letter that needed to be delivered and I couldn’t find anyone to mail it for me. I had to mail it myself because that letter had to get in the mail.

Well, I learned just in time a while ago that the best way for me to know that my prayer request can get before God is if I put it
in myself. You’d be advised to know this as well. I once heard a girl say that God is a “keep it real” God. That’s true. You don’t have to go before him telling a long drawn out story; just keep it real. I always cut out the drama in my prayer life. I’ve known many people who haven’t. However, I know the bible says:

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. (KJV PRoverbs 3: 12)

So, I just trust always that God will direct the path of any one that comes before Him in error. A lot of people don’t understand that “fearing” God doesn’t mean being afraid of Him. It means revering Him. That’s the correct mind frame that one should have in His presence. This is often misunderstood by those not of the faith.

God is seeking to have a personal relationship with you….so He would love to hear your prayer request. Don’t hesitate to speak to Him and don’t hesitate to listen for God’s answer; which is the part that many people miss.

WHAT TO DO?

Get on your knees in a private place, or sit on the bed, or go somewhere where you can have quiet time without interruption. I go to prayer in a chapel most mornings. Sometimes, I just sit in my den quietly and pray.

I always start by Thanking God and then I praise Him for the wonderful things that He has done for me. Then I talk to Him about the challenge or the problem and ask for wisdom. Since He always answers my prayers, I thank Him in advance. Sometimes I plead the Blood of Jesus over an emergency situation. I always end or begin my prayers with The Name of Jesus. It doesn’t mean “name” literally; it means Authority. Finally, I sit quietly and listen for an answer. The more that you do this, the clearer your answers.

Afterwards, try to think about having a regular prayer life, it will be a comfort to you. God loves you so much. Blessings

PRAY, PRAY, PRAY

A Great Misnomer: “Name it and Claim it! ……..by Elaine Davenport ( Thursday, November 7, 2007)

I’ve been to many churches in my life and I learned something at each one of them…good or bad. I talk about the good ones, I say nothing about the less than normal experiences. This is a fact. Not even my hairdresser knows. First, let me say that I don’t put labels on churches…anymore. It wasn’t deliberate, I don’t really know why I did it. I said something negative about another church once of a different denomination and the Lord had me to publicly repent in front of the group I had just said it to. He reminded me: “That’s where you learned about faith!” Funny thing, after I said it (I repented) ; several people said they needed to repent as well. I corrected myself; I never did it again! What I said isn’t important; I really don’t specifically recall except something about a one scripture sermon. Shame on me. We have to be soooo careful about what we say. We will get a harvest off of our deeds and our words.

Every church is a “part” of the body. Each ordained by God has a job to do whether liked by anyone else or not.

That should free us up. See Truth

One of the greatest exaggerations to be put on parts of the Body of Christ has been the : “Name It and Claim It” label. It’s also been called a “Positive Confession” Doctrine.” I laughed really hard when I read that part because I thought: “Should I make a negative confession?” For example, when I had my brain tumor, should I have said: “I’m not going to make it, I’ll probably die? Whoever came up with a complaint against positive confession doesn’t understand the word or the concept of faith. Please someone show me how a negative confession is a confession of faith? That goes back to the time someone told me: FAITH WON’T PAY YOUR BILLS!

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand before Your throne this day; lifting up the body of Christ. Father, I pray this prayer over the body. Please loose your Love over them. Let them pray for one another and be Blessed. Help them to understand that these are the Last Days and in these times, we must all be in one accord with love for one another beyond the walls of our physical church building for we are indeed, the body. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen

In these troubled times; a Prayer for You by Elaine Davenport (October 29th- November 3rd, 2007)

without comments

Heavenly Father, we lift You up this day and we rejoice! I humbly beseech You on behalf of every person that reads and prays this prayer. I thank You Father that You see each and every one as an individual and that their heart is touched to seek a closer relationship with You. Father, we pray that burdens are removed and yokes are destroyed because of the anointing. We pray Father that each and every one can receive peace in their spirits and that they can understand that they are spirits who live in a body and that they have a soul which is linked to their mind, their will and their emotions.

I pray for them and with them this day that their spirit man or woman will rise and take ascendancy in their lives. I ask You Father to send worthy laborers to cross their paths to interact with them and to minister to them. I thank You that when that happens they will be mindful of You and will not hesitate to give You the glory, the honor and the praise.

Father, this day, our beloved has a need, sometimes great, sometimes seemingly small; yet that need is pressing upon their mind and their heart. If it is a burden to them, I’m asking You to receive that burden from them. Your Word says that we are to cast our cares upon You knowing that you can take it and that You can handle it and

Father, we are asking You to set them free from any bondage. In the authority of Jesus, we bind any spirits of confusion, error,
antichrist, evil, fear, heaviness or anything that exalteth itself against the knowledge of Christ and we loose Godly wisdom and peace in every situation. We declare that each person praying this prayer will remain in faith until they see victory in compliance with Your Word and Your will for their lives. Teach us to be willing and obedient to your command. In Jesus Name we pray; Amen.

A Question About Forgiveness by Minister Aaron Hightower (Guest Speaker) (October 29, 2007)

with 2 comments

Welcome to our site. I was reminded of this bible verse earlier today regarding the subject of prayer:

Mark 11: 25 (KJV)

I was really happy to find out that Minister Aaron Hightower a friend of ours had completed a video on Utube regarding forgiveness. Minister Hightower has a practical down the earth approach that is very refreshing. Besides being a minister, he is a Graphic Artist, a Blogger, and a Photographer. He’s very active on U Tube working for God. He and his wife Brendel and their children reside in Southern Michigan. I know that this video will Bless you.

In the video; he is driving down the road in his car. The camera isn’t very far away and I’m not sure who’s holding it; an angel more likely. . Smile. Takes special skills. Maybe, I can do this with my new camera phone that has a camcorder built in. Who knows? (Click on the arrow to start)
