A Prayer for our children by Elaine Davenport (Saturday, June 30, 2007)

Dear Heavenly Father, we praise you and we Bless you today. Thank you for this day and the love and the revelation that we have. Father we thank you for gifting us with our children. We commit their lives to you. We stand in faith that their faith will grow and grow and that one day they will become bold laborers for your kingdom. Father, we declare that they will commit their ways unto you, and in doing so their thoughts will be established. Father we pray that your word will become exciting and intriguing to them. That they will know right from wrong. We pray that they will have the ability to discern any work or word that is not of you or that does not edify you. Father we pray that as they exercise their independence in the ways of the world, that they will realize that this is not what they want to do. We pray that they will know in their hearts what is your will for them. We covenant with you in advance and we thank you for this. In the name of Jesus. Amen

A Prayer For the Lost By Elaine Davenport (Friday, June 29, 2007)

Heavenly Father we come before you this day to pray for the lost in our families, in our friendships, in our acquaintances, amongst our neighbors and strangers. Father we love them as much as we love ourselves and we make no exceptions for this for this is your will. Father, we know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Today we ask you to give us a special anointing. A daring anointing! An anointing where we won’t hesitate, we won’t hold back about You. Father we are asking today for changes to come in our lives for all of these people; that we may see and hear marvelous testimonies from them as to how they were touched by the Spirit of the Living God. Father, we ask if you will help us and guide us to know that if we ask anything of you in faith being confidently convinced, then we shall have what we ask. We promise not to come back to you to remind you or to ask you if you forgot our prayer. We will be patient and continue to follow your lead and your Word. In the authority of Jesus we ask and pray, Amen.

Blessed Father on high, thank you for this joyful day. Father, you woke me up to a brighter day and I am thankful. Because of your love, I am redeemed. Thank you that your grace is sufficient for me. Father, I am thankful for your enduring tender mercies. Thankful am I for your Word and it’s revealing nature and revelation. Because of you I am renewed, refreshed, restored, re-energized! Father, today I come before you with a humble heart. I am Blessed! I am strong! I am walking in grace! I have favor. I humbly beseech you today to send forth your angels to my path today. I plead the blood of Jesus over any circumstance that I or my family may encounter. We plead the Blood of Jesus over our entire body. We pronounce good health for our legs, feet, arms, hands, wrists, nose, eyes, ears, mouth, neck, back, all of our organs, our ankles, our calves, our hips, our shoulders. Nothing shall by any means hurt or harm us. My body is whole and healthy. My mind is free and clear. My thoughts are established and rooted in love. I pray for my family Lord and I ask you to guide them, direct them and strengthen them in the faith. I pray that you will send laborers across their paths. Father, I know that should temptation, test or trial come before them or I that you are faithful and will create a door of escape and that we are not alone. I am your child and I am glad. I have a covenant with you. You said that you will hold my right hand and that I don’t have to fear anything or anyone. Nothing has a hold on me because I am more than a conqueror. My blood pressure is normal and will stay there. I declare that my sleep patterns will become stable. I am thankful for your love and thankful for my victory. I love you so much. In Jesus Name, I ask and pray. AMEN

CLOUDS GATHERED AS WE PRAYED! By Elaine Davenport (Wednesday, June 27,2007)

I woke up early this morning today. I woke up today with God on my mind. It was certain ly too early to get up I thought. I tried to go back to sleep. It didn’t work. I was wide-eyed and there was much to be done. I decided that I wasn’t going to make it to Prayer. I went to check on my Blogs and on the Healing Blog; it showed that 41 people had visited the site last night. I was amazed. I washed my hair after much writing and watered the lawn. It was still early. Soon, I was driving to prayer. I met my friends coming out of the sanctuary and we met in our famous prayer pow wow on the parking lot. It was a sunny day then. I just happened to glance in the sky; there was not a cloud in sight. We began to pray for various prayer needs that we were aware of. and then we began to pray for other people. We prayed intensely for our spiritual leadership, the nation of Israel, the American soldiers . Right around that time, we looked in the sky and saw one beautiful giant cloud.

Sister Rose told us that she had read somewhere that the clouds represent the dust of Jesus feet. We continued to pray. We looked up again and guess what? There were seven cloud formations. I would write with exclamation marks everywhere but the software on this site does not allow it. Oh well.

We talked briefly about how the number seven spiritually represents completion and we continued to pray. We prayed til we were exhausted. It was refreshing and not tiring. This is true. When we finished our prayer; almost two hours had went by. There were four of us.

I ended up having an incredible day. I am so thankful. I just want to ask you if you have a prayer life? If you don’t, all I can say is that if you develop one, your life will change for the better.

I was raised to believe that I only needed to send up a prayer in an emergency. At around ten years of age, I began to have casual conversations with God. There wasn’t much information out on developing a prayer life. In those days, the only people who were recognized as having Godly relationships were ministers, priests and nuns. Life changes.

Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts
Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways” declares the Lord

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts

(Isaiah 55:6-9)

A Prayer for Other people By Elaine Davenport Thursday, June 21, 2007

Heavenly Father, we bask in Your presence this day because we love You and we know in Your presence is fullness of joy and at your right hand there are pleasures forever more. We thank You and we revere You. We long to be closer to You and to do Your perfect will. Your Word says that whom the Lord loveth, He correcteth; so if we have missed the mark in any way, please correct us. It is our prayer today, not for ourselves, but for others today Lord. Please , send the ministering angels out to the lost to prosper their way. Today we declare that they are more than conquerors and that they shall know the truth ands the truth shall make them free. It is our prayer that they may come to know the full stature of Your perfect will for their lives. We are asking You to send worthy laborers to cross their paths. Each suited with a tailor made agenda for the specific need of every lost person. We pray that those with every need will meet someone who will not only minister to them, but also to pray with them and to bring them into salvation.

Father, Your Word says that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. So, we are asking the You to place that thirst within each lost person so that they can receive the indwelling Spirit of God. We believe that we receive when we ask for it and we count it done in the Authority of Jesus Christ, the Messiah; the Anointed One. Amen

(2007- The Year of the Open Door)

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name-

Revelations

And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled. And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

Acts

1 CORINTHIANS 16

For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

2 CORINTHIANS To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,

COLOSSIANS 4: Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

LUKE 11 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

(2007- The Year of the Open Door) (Continued Page 2)

ACTS 5: Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought. But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told, Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow. Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

ACTS 16 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

From Lowly Victim to Prayer Warrior by E. Davenport(Wednesday, June 13, 2007)

without comments

There was a time in my life when I viewed myself as a lowly victim. The enemy was whooping up on me and I thought there was nothing I could do about it. And then I woke up. Hallelujah. They won’t let me put exclamation marks on this site. That’s hard for someone on fire for God. Very hard. Anyway, I didn’t know about Luke 10: 19; which says:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (KJV)

When I found this out, I then read Hebrews 11: 1 which says:

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

But I did not have a lot of faith and then I read Romans 10: 17 which says:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So, I make up my mind. I DECIDED TO START SATURATING MYSELF WITH THE WORD OF GOD JUST TO SEE IF THIS WAS TRUE. COULD I ACTUALLY GET MORE FAITH? I SET OUT ON A JOURNEY TO GET IT.

On that journey which I am still on, I found some answers to questions that we all have.

Yes, you can get more faith by hearing the Word of God.
Yes, your prayer life can lengthen and improve.

On this journey thus far, my life has radically changed and I am now a prayer warrior. I am a soldier for God representing the Kingdom of God, defending many things. I’m no longer a victim. My prayers are answered. Sign up for duty.
